Log in to accessCI to Find Leads:
Log in with your user ID and password. After accepting the license agreement/logging in,
click on the Get Data tab, then
scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Go Get” Site Searches and Reports.
Create Your Search:
On the Site Search-Simple page choose the
categories you want to search within from the left side of the page.
For example, if you want to search for sites within your geographic
territory, click on Geography and
choose the description of your territory, for example state.
Then select your state and click on Save This Selection at the bottom of the page.
This criteria has now been added to your search summary on the right side of the
screen. As you add more criteria to
your search (for example, Technology Totals at Site, Computer, # of PCs at the
Site), your criteria will build in the search summary. The more criteria you add, the narrower your search will be, and the
fewer sites you will get as a result.
For more targeted or more sophisticated searching
capabilities, i.e. Planned Technology Purchases, or Installed Technology by
Competitive Vendor click on the Site Search - Advanced link at the top of the page
under the Login Tab.
To build your advanced search, follow
the same steps as above to limit the search to a specific geography, industry,
or size of company, however, you now have additional criteria to choose from to
build your query.
To locate companies that are planning
specific technology purchases, click on either Hardware or Software at
Site and drill down to a specific type of technology. Then, you will be taken to a screen
with Manufacturer and Model information, as well as a box titled: Status,
where you can select Installed or Planned. Selecting
Planned will limit your search to companies that have indicated plans to
purchase that technology. Selecting
Installed will give you a list of companies that have that technology currently
installed. (Hint: To select
multiple manufacturers, models, etc, hold down the [ctrl] button on your
keyboard while making the selections.) Click
on the Save this Selection button at the bottom of the page. The more
criteria you add, the narrower your search will be, and the fewer sites you will
get as a result.
Get Results:
After
choosing your selection criteria, scroll to the bottom of the page and select
one of the following reporting options: “Go Get” 1) list of matching sites 2) list of contacts at matching sites (This
report will be a telemarketing list) 3)
summary reports of matching sites.
Report on Your Matching Sites:
By clicking on Go Get 1) List of
Matching sites, you will get a list of the companies that match your
selection criteria.
From here, you may choose to customize
your site list into a spreadsheet with information that is useful for you, and
then export that list into Excel. To do so, click on Add or Remove Fields
and choose from the list of available options. These fields will be added as
columns to your spreadsheet for a high-level look at the companies. Choose the other customizing links at the top of the list to change the
sort order of the columns and column sequence. Once your fields are added, click on the Export List button and
follow the prompts.
Hint: Always be
sure that Site ID is one of the fields that is added to your report. If you want
to go back later and call up a specific site, the Site ID is the easiest field
to query on for an exact lookup.
To view the complete detail of
information (Site Profile) that has been collected on a specific company, click
on the Company Name in the Site List.
Or, you may choose to Download the
complete details of the Site Profile and save them to look up later. Click on
the Download Profiles button and follow the prompts. (Profiles may only
be downloaded in batches of 25. If your report yielded more than 25, once the
first batch has downloaded, click on Return to Last Site List and
go to the following page of companies by clicking on the navigational numbers at
the bottom of the page. Once page two is displayed, click on Download Site
profiles again.)
By Clicking on Go Get 2) List of
Contacts at Matching Sites, you will get a list of contacts at the companies
that match your criteria.
To choose the specific contacts that
you want, click on the Select Contact Functions button above and to the
right of the list of sites and choose from the available list.Hint: A Sr. Information Systems Mgr. Contact will be
collected at every location. The others will only be collected where available.
Now you can customize your
telemarketing list into a spreadsheet with any relevant information, and then
export your list into Excel. Click on Add or Remove Fields and choose
from the list of available options. These fields will be added as columns to

By Clicking on Go Get 3) Summary
Reports of Matching Sites, you will be able to run some basic statistical
reports on your resulting sites.
